I know you are just now applying to colleges, but if you happen to be interested in medicine, I suggest you looking into a career in pathology. My son was recently diagnosed with autism, very high cognitive skills but he has problems with behavior and speech (dx at age 22 mos, currently in ABA therapy and making great progress). Learning more about the diagnosis has made me realize that I am likely on the spectrum (looking at my difficulties in childhood and beyond), albeit milder end (probable Asperger’s, eval coming up soon). Though I have had challenges, I am very persistent (some would call down right stubborn and hard headed) and managed to get into, stay in, and graduate medical school. I chose pathology when I realized how easy it was to memorize patterns. Pathology is all about patterns and colored pictures! Perfect fit for me AND I get to help people without actually having to carry on a conversation with them! So anyway, I see how intelligent you are so I thought I would suggest that. However, it looks like you are already successful at stuff like advocacy and public speaking, so perhaps you don’t need to look any further! Congratulations to you on all of your success so far.

amazing to see other aspies gifts, this is going to sound really shallow but i hadn’t even considered other aspies gifts until i watched this.

I myself find that im a logical/pattern thinker so mathmatics, science, art and business to name just a few come really easy to me as long as tasks are explained throughly to me so that i understand what critera is needed.

  3. yes, I am a musical, kinesthetic and logical thinker. I can memorise lists and systems quickly like you. I speak 4 languages and if I tried could probably become relatively fluent in a language in about 2 weeks. The more systems you don’t have the stronger the remaining ones become.
